Elysian Fields' Simple and Drop Shadow Logos
... for the folks into plain and minimalist style logos. I plan on doing a whole set for MLB and the minor leagues, and for the historical Major League and Minor League teams. This is just the beginning.
I've got some other stuff done, but the first finished league set I have is for the current Double A Texas League. Posted are 3 separate winrar zip files and 2 examples. The Texas League logo was hard to do so I made an alternative one using the Texas Flag. The Texas Flag looks better in my opinion, but the original is there if you want that. Feel free to critique and let me know what you think. Also, I will try to rush a whole set and then add alternative logos and what not later. And if I can figure out how to make some of the logos better, I will. Last edited by Elysian Fields; 05-10-2014 at 02:38 AM. |

The drop shadow does get a bit lost on the Tulsa Drillers logo as the whole logo itself is quite dark. My preference would be to use the flat version of these.

Yeah, drop shadow goes best with lighter colors. It is still noticeable in the dark skin's gray background. It disappears against dark backgrounds. That's why I'm including flat or simple logos too. Personally, I like using the drop shadow ones.

AL West Logos
Flat (Simple) and Drop Shadow. This is enough to have one of each, with maybe a couple of more choices. I'll be adding to this as I go though, and will make additional logos for these teams.
Some of the different logos are simply variant by color code. Last edited by Elysian Fields; 05-10-2014 at 02:37 AM. |

How about a pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, or decagon?

The alternative is just figuring out the exact script you used and making a lettered logo from scratch. You had told me about the script fonts you use and I've got some of them. |

These are a good look. I like them. Any screenshots of how the shadow portrays in-game?

Here is a drop shadow version I did...I think it may be a bit much, but tell me what you think. Against the dark background it doesn't show up too much, but against the white skin, it does.

I played around with it until I found something I was happy with. I didn't want to over do it. And it took me a while to figure how to get the shadow to work the way I wanted it to. What I don't like in drop shadow is if you can see the shadow in a dark background, but not as a shadow. It just doesn't look good. It will look totally good with a light color, but against a dark color it should disappear. Last edited by Elysian Fields; 05-10-2014 at 09:36 PM. |

NL Central
NL Central. Same applies as above. If y'all find any errors, like lines on the logo, just let me know. I think my quality assurance system has found all errors, but I'm not perfect.
Enjoy! |
