no demo?

I downloaded OOTP 15 today, figuring I would mess with a demo a little bit, but when I got the game downloaded, my only option was to purchase the game. Unfortunately I don't get paid until the end of the month, so I don't have the money to purchase right now.

Is there really not a demo for OOTP 15? Or did I just miss it somehow? I'd love to check out this game for a couple weeks before I decide to buy it. I mean I already know it's a great game, but I got a new computer and want to make sure everything runs a-ok. So am I pretty much at the mercy of having to buy the full version of the game just to try it?

All newly released games go through a couple of patches early in the process. The demo usually comes later. Why don't you try the v14 demo? It will give you a taste of the platform.

Out of the Park Baseball 8 Free

You could also give this a try. Understandably, there is a ton of difference between 15 and 8, but the nuts and bolts are the same. 8 got me into it, and this is an absolutely free and no strings attached copy of OOTP 8.
