Found a Little Help with Game Speed
I'm often the slowest squirrel to the nut, but I stumbled on to a little thing, frankly, I did not know existed. Windows offers a tweak called ReadyBoost, with which you can plug in a USB flash drive or any additional device that offers the option on its Properties tab and the PC will use available data space on that device to effectively add to the working RAM. It may be confirmation bias, but rummaging through the game now, with my flash drive inserted and checking this tab, I experience a bit less lag. FWIW, here's what the tab looks like, after clicking on the flash drive and then Properties:

Good suggestion. I never noticed that tab before but sure enough, it's there if you right-click on the drive and choose properties. So, this helps people who want to play their games directly from USB drives.

Well, it helps just playing on my laptop. I have the USB drive there anyway, because I like to backup my league there. In this case, even though I'm playing the game from the hard drive, the system is utilizing additional space provided by the flash memory. I see it blinking every now and then while I'm shuffling through game pages. Think it works.
