Player Of The Game

I know it's a minor issue but an issue none the less. The player of the game for every game is always a pitcher no matter what any hitter has done. Just an ups on this. Just might be a setting or something...if so please advise...Thanks

It looks like the Player of the Game formula was tweaked to favor pitchers. I have seen batters named Player of the Game, but it happens less often than it did in OOTP14.

I had this happen as well...

Andrelton Simmons...5 for 5 with 2 RBI
Jason Heyward 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and 3 RBI

Player of the Game
Alex Wood 2 IP, 2 H, 6K in relief

Oh...and we lost 7-6 to the Nats on a 2-out walk-off slam by Denard Span of all people (uh, yeah...Kimbrel)

starter 7 inn 5 er 7 k's a loss = POG
middle reliever 2 inn 2 hits 1 hold = POG

so far have played out 7 games and zero batters have won POG....just saying!

Yes with the version before and the patched version. just played another game and pitcher won again.

Citing just the examples noted in this thread, it certainly sounds like this needs to be addressed in the next patch.

While they're at it - how about keeping track of Player of the Game honors as a career stat as well as Performance of the Day based on a 3, 2, 1 point scale.
