Batted ball sound effects are clearly from metal bats

I hate to be "that guy" but it's kind of annoying that the sound effect when a ball is hit in a game is clearly from a metal bat? Does anyone else agree? It shouldn't be that hard to get a sound effect from a wooden bat hitting a ball, right?

Hmmm. Not sure why you hear metal. But, I hear wood. So I must disagree.
