Thanks for the info — given my team (2014 Red Sox) are absolutely awful, I will do so gladly!

Out of curiosity, reading through the list of changes, nothing jumps out at me as something that would particularly change the experience of a league. If you (or someone) would, what are the changes that will particularly affect a league going forward? Thanks!

(This is my first version of OOTP since 2011 and haven't played in a while, so I'm a bit out of the loop.)

Yeah I am running a test league for the time being. Only thing that sucks is using my O's too much makes me want to use another team, but ootp always makes me learn other teams and about players I normally wouldn't. Who would have thought that 35 bucks gained me ton of knowledge?

Patch Release on Monday

For those of us kind of new to the game, are the patches also a link and download? Or is there a different method of installation?

Among other things, the award winners are listed incorrectly in the history index. That's the kind of thing that bothers me.

They are download links. There will be a post on the forum with them.

Cool to see that upgrading from 10.6 to 10.9 is free... i'm going to try it now. Wish me luck. If you never see me again, it means my hardware is fried. I blame you, Brad. :-P
If you're happy with 10.6 otherwise, there really is no need. OOTP runs great on 10.6.

Can't wait for the patch but so far the game is solid enough that I have started a franchise and from the looks of it I will just keep playing that. Amazing release this year. Entirely playable right out of the gate.

Yeah... My attempt to upgrade to mavericks failed and completely corrupted my drive. Lol. I was up until 4:00am reformatting my machine and doing a fresh install. Probably should have left it alone. Oh well.
