Dunno, but since everything is shrunk down, I guess it makes since that the break would be shorter.

BTW, a week of ST really is about worthless for evaluating players.....

Not really. My players need to impact immediately. Theres only 16 games in the season so no point waiting around for someone to start performing.

That may be an area where experimentation might be worthwhile.
Yes..it had to do with the day="" numbers...it seemed that ootp considers spring training to be the End of the year (which is why when you export a schedule during spring training, those game days are in the 300s) and opening day (day= is always 1) the beginning of a new year. So what happens is, it'll schedule the spring training games for 2014 and the balance of the schedule being regular season wouldn't be schedule till 2015. Weird I know but that's what I found if I'm remembering correctly. One thing I can't confirm is if ootp recognizes type="2" games in a schedule at all (even though it's in a schedule when you export) or as being spring training games as far as stats and such go.
I quit experimenting once I fugured out that ootp's year is not the same as real life so to speak.

Recently a few clubs were even playing spring training games on the same day as the Sunday night MLB season opener.
