Markus and co: As an overall first impression, I have to say that this is the biggest change to OOTP since the first SI version. As I think we all remember, that one had its issues but was ultimately a very good thing for the series. This time, though, I think you guys knocked the big changes out of the park. (Eh? Eh? See what I did there?)
Nothing we can do about batting average. I have a list for Andreas to work on, to refine this feature. Probably won't happen soon. He's been focused on the 3D feature.

Ok, I'll admit it... OOTP14 was by far the best release but now OOTP15 is taking the cake.

Wow, another home run for Markus and his team.

Thank you!

I just fired it up for the first time. Two things I like already:
  1. The interface. I did not think I would like it this much. I was wrong. Looks like Facegen is OK, too.
  2. The Manager's Office. By beefing that up, you also made the Home button useful to me. Last version, I ignored that button because the manager screen was not as comprehensive as it is now. Now I want to start/resume my "day" by hitting the Home button because of what I can do now in the Manager's Office.

Ah, that's cool. Not a huge priority.

Manager's office?

I must have missed that

I know I cannot change uniform numbers easily from the looks of it, the player info tab used to have "change uniform number" and I retired #99 for Baltimore to see how it would go, I like the description bit...and I can't delete it

Did anyone test to see if a player goes on the DL, and the callup comes up, will the callup be assigned the DL player's number?

I will say that this new forum look, for screenshots, is giving me headaches, a screen shot takes up a huge amount of space, but that may be the user here doing it

Love the new interface. The menu's feel so much less cluttered. I can't wait for a more extended play session this evening.

Well 3d is cool. 1st inning of first game, single and then back to back homers. cool watching one fly over the wall in left and one to right!

I have both sound + TTS turned on...but the ambient crowd noise is pretty intrusive for that feature. Having said that, the animation is present, but not nearly as omnipresent as it is without the TTS feature. For instance, I never see the pitch thrown, and it's 50-50 that the location of the ball is displayed.

Maybe it's a Windows 7 thing? A screen setting? I will have to mess around with it, but maybe because we cannot separate the crowd noise (boy, that guy who says, "No way. No way! NO WAY!" has been around for years, hasn't he?) from the announcer is contributing to the problem.

Why is it that some players have historical WAR stats but others don't?

Quick and easy download/setup (less than 5 minutes from clicking the email link to starting first game), so kudos for the ease of start-up.

Interface is super intuitive, so makes it easy to find any information I'm looking for (and have found other info I didn't even know I wanted until I stumbled on it).

I haven't downloaded and special databases/logos/etc, so just using the "out of the box" game for the moment. Setup a historical league starting in 1871 with full minors, and set the sim to run for 30 years at a time, just to let it compile stats/etc. Only issues so far:

-initial run only lasted a couple months, and then got an error that one of the teams only had 7 players on the roster (figured that could happen with those early years). Moved players around, but it kept happening, so I finally checked off the box to fill the minors/etc with fictional players to get around that.

-game has crashed 3x so far while running through the years (goes anywhere from 5 to 10 years before it happens), and just gives the standard "OOTP 15 has stopped working..." message. I'm not sure if it's a conflict with another program running in the background on the laptop yet (maybe virus program or the like), so not going to call it a bug until I can get more info on it.

My first impression: Wow, the interface in general doesn't get talked about (not as sexy as 3D and actual game elements), but it's really slick and nice.

I think you can change the Narrator volume in Windows 8. It might help.

I'm using Windows 8 and I don't see those issues, so it could be a 7/8 thing. Hey, between that and the narrator evidently being better, I found a reason to like Windows 8 more. One more miracle pulled off by OOTP.

Easy d'load and activation. Imported my v14 game in ~10 minutes a lot faster than previous versions but I did get a new computer so that could be why it was much faster than past years.

Haven't done anything other than look around. The GUI is slick and very nice looking. Created a couple of new facegens and they appear to have been brought up to standard since the preview screen shots.

A bit disappointed the auto-open menu option appears to have been removed from the game, unless I am just missing where to turn it on.

First off and above all, huge thanks to Markus and Andreas for yet another outstanding effort.

Am I the only one who finds the new UI a little hard on the eyes? I've tried the 3 different skins, and "classic" seems to work best for me. Still, and I know I'm in the minority here, but I prefer the look of 14.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess...

I like the ootp 14 dark skin better.

The default skin is just so bright.

I enjoy the idea behind the retired numbers concept, however to me it looks a bit too bland. Is it possible to combine facegen with the number? Perhaps the player's face with the circular number attached to him on either the lower right hand or left hand corner? To me it would add a bit more pizazz to a great feature.

Please make the Draft info in player profiles clickable...It would make it so much easier to check out the gems you missed on.
