Hey txranger, I have a special request for you. Could you do the Toronto Maple Leafs jersey seen in this Wikipedia article (under "Jack Kent Cooke era").

I gave it a shot but I just can't get that cool retro look like your beauties.
Thanks!

Hey guys, thanks for all of your hard work in this thread. It's made playing OOTP even more enjoyable. I've been running a fictional league that dates all the way back to OOTP 12 and I've been able to find (TONS) of logos and unis for almost every one of my teams. I just can't seem to piece together anything for the Omaha Robins--one of my original 8 clubs and the perennial punching bag of the Pioneer League for almost 30 years before breaking the hearts of their fans by losing 2 National Series in a row and then subsequently returning to the league's basement for another decade. In spite of their failures, they've always held a special place in my OOTP thoughts and having pre-ordered 15, I'm going to bring the Robins back for a new fictional league.

I've digressed. I'm still trying to piece together a logo and uniform for this bunch of losers and I think I've found a combo that will work. Could someone use this Robins color scheme

and the "O" from this logo:

to help me complete this team? I was thinking about something really simple for the jerseys and hats:

Home -- all white, blue "O" logo on the chest, orange lines

Away -- gray, "Omaha" in orange script with a thin blue outline across the chest

Alt Away -- same as the above but the word "Robins" replaces "Omaha"

Cap1 -- all blue, white "O"

Cap 2 -- all blue, orange "O"

If this is too heavy a task, then I'd gladly settle for just the logo, the home jersey, and cap1. Many, many, many thanks for this and all of the other materials that I've poached from this thread.

Cheers!

-gr

UKHotstove- no kidding! so many stars, eagles, giants, and so on! So hard to keep up with them. Also many teams spawned into others. In fact, I read that the Cincinnati Crescents became to Seattle Steelheads of the West Coast Negro League from one year to the next! As far as the New Orleans Caulfield Ads, I have never been able to find a jersey for them and now I know why (because they were the same as the Black Pelicans). Maybe Tx can work his magic for us and create a uni and logo as a possible alternate jersey and logo. :-)

TX-Yep we are a lot alike in this sense! The early 1900's to 1950's are certainly my favorite. Of course no surprise that the Negro teams are my choice of unis and logos to explore and request. The early 1900's era of Negro baseball hasn't been touched too much. Maybe we can get into that at some point...

My favorite era's of baseball would be the 1910's, 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's I guess... The teams of the late 1800's are also of interest to me, along with the early 1900's teams as well... I was never much of a baseball fan till I started playing OOTP and Puresim which lead me to research and play with the teams and players of those era's... My favorite leagues are the Negro Leagues bar none... Just really fascinated by the talent that they had in those leagues for several decades but never got to play in the major leagues... Such a great loss for the sport of baseball... Really would have been cool to see what their stats might have been if they had played in the majors... That's why I enjoy recreating them in OOTP and see how their stats turn out in a what if situation... When I get a request to create a logo or uniform based on an old team of the Minors, the Negro Leagues or some obscure team, half the fun is in the research and the things you find while trying to find a photo of a player, the team or the uniform... Love it...

PS From the first time I saw No Pepper's amazing work on his historical teams uniforms, it was an inspiration to me... His work made me want to try and re-create some of these old teams uniforms and help make this game more enjoyable...

I'm not sure what team these belong to but I found two images of early OKC teams here:

A while back you were kind enough to make me a couple of circular logos to use in my 19th century Guild League (a small six team circuit where the teams based on occupations - turns out the lawyers won the most titles thus far). I'd love to expand a couple of teams to add doctors and train conductors. Would you be willing to do a pair of logos for me based on these preexisting uniforms from your collection?

Society of Asclepius Base Ball Club - Jacksonville Clippers
Jupiter Base Ball Union - Savannah Lafayettes

Thanks so much for the consideration! Your work makes this game so much more fun for the rest of us!

I've tried to weed out some of the Stars and Giants, forgot which league it was but at one point I think there were 6 maybe 8 but thinking 6 teams in it and 3 had the name Giants. Although the league I'm working on is fictional players I wanted the teams and leagues to be close to real as I could but just got confusing with so many Giants in one league, teams I've gone with will have played in a certain league but different times

I've got more into the negro leagues, actually down to No Peppers uniforms. My main love though apart from the Brooklyn Dodgers are the old leagues like the Blue Ridge League, Cotton States League etc.

Tx, the Omaha kit is amazing!!! It's funny because somehow they look almost exactly how I've always imagined them--right down to the font and everything! Thanks so much. Can't wait to use them.
