Makeup of team based on draft order
That thread about a late round pick becoming a star prompted me to take a look at where all my current players were acquired. I think this falls in line with what I've read about a real MLB roster...after the 2nd round, a guy's chance of making the majors and being at least a contributor plummet.
1st rd: 8 Supp rd: 1 2nd rd: 4 3rd rd: 4 6th rd: 1 7th rd: 1 8th rd: 1 International signings: 5 |

This was pretty interesting, I never thought to look at my team this way:
1st Round: 7 Supp. Round: 1 2nd Round: 2 3rd Round: 2 4th Round: 2 5th Round: 3 7th Round: 2 9th Round: 1 30th Round: 1 (Yes, I have a 30th-rounder who's found a bit of success in my bullpen) Int'l Signings: 4 Kind of confirms why I only draft the first 10 rounds on my own, and then let the computer take over. |

Actually, I would think the opposite: Since nearly every player on your team is someone you drafted personally and the AI has only come up with 1 player, I would think that maybe I ought to be drafting those later rounds, since he obviously is not cutting the mustard......
