Issue with Rule 5 draft
It seems that if I draft a guy off of rule 5 I cannot move him to the minors. I get this message that he must be either on the active roster or on the 15 D/L for the year (and that option isn't actually available). Is this baseball or a glitch in the game?

The purpose of the rule V draft is to get people who would play for the Majors but are stuck on teams that won't call them up into the majors. So that teams can't hoard prospects. Given that, there is also a rule that your rule V draftee must be on the active roster for a certain amount of time during the season (I don't know how much time that is). So you may not demote him out of the majors...
I believe there is a way, of course, but it's likely he will no longer be in your organization if you demote him. |

You can send the player back to the team he was drafted from by releasing him.
By rule, rule 5 draftees must spend the entire season on the 25 man roster or the DL.
