Regular game

I started a normal game as GM of the Oshawa Generals. WHL/OHL/QMJHL/NHL/AHL/ECHL active. A few months into the season I was offered a job contract. I clicked "negotiate contract" or whatever the option was, but at the negotiation screen I wasn't able to click anything. Menus, confirmation buttons, the salary increase/decrease buttons. I ended up having to Force Quit because I couldn't click Save or Exit Game.

I loaded up my last save game but the game now crashes consistently when I click try to go to the edit lines screen. I assume the save file was corrupted when I Force Quit.

It's a damn shame. This was my 2nd attempt at playing the game and the 2nd time I've reached a point where I can no longer advance Don't think I'll spend any more time on this version of the game.

First one is that the same 4 guys are allways on the ice whatever you set as your first line in 4 on 4 they stay on the ice for the full 5 minutes. Also the AI allways gets 4 penalty shots the latest game I saw this in they scored twice in their first 3 attempts I scored once so it should have been over but they still got another shot a fourth, in another game I was ahead after 3 shots and they got an extra shot which they scored on and so it went on for additional shots and they still got an extra shot at the end. The AI allways goes first and allways gets an extra shot. Minor bug is that the OT period allways starts 5 on 5.

I accept the Oilers GM offer then try and hire Todd McLellan as coach and it crashes every time.

You can delete them - those are actually just a debugging feature that didn't get turned off, I'll make sure it's gone in the next patch.

I have been playing FHM for about 6 seasons worth of hockey now. My MAC's main "Applications" is getting over run with player data files. They are titled "2014_goalies.csv", "2014_skaters.csv" and so on for every year up 2019. A total of 12 of these files. Why are they NOT saving to a sub-folder for FHM rather than in my MAIN Applications folder?? How do I change this?

Please help!

I think I posted in the wrong section...I APOLOGIZE...I was thinking historical was for "historical data" but now I realize it meant for running a game set in historical time. Is it possible for a moderator to move this to the appropriate forum for me? I can't find a way to delete it. SORRY for the problems....

No problem, I moved it.

See my post above relating to this problem: it was part of a debugging tool in the pre-release versions of the new patch that wasn't shut off properly. I was the only one using it, and saving those files to the main game installation directory was as convenient a place as any for my Windows setup. Unfortunately, on a Mac, they get dumped to the applications folder, which is obviously a nuisance. There's nothing essential to the game in them (it's just a yearly dump of some player ratings), you can safely delete them. And this will be fixed soon in our next patch.

I'm having similar problems - Very glad to see the update, I installed it and quickly started a season as the Florida Panthers. The same problem is I'm getting job offers from other clubs.

The difference is I can click on the response button and decline the job in the message box. As soon as I do this the Game bar and search the entire top bar becomes frozen. I CAN scroll the lower part of the screen boxes as long as it's not something requiring clicking one of the boxes like "Play" up top.

The other problem is I'm forced to quit the game by Task Manager as nothing else works in game. The files will revert back to the last save ( I'm saving weekly), but once back in the game - before I can do anything I get another job offer and the cycle begins again!

(and NO the game won't let you move forward or ignore the message)

Historical Game

Playing 95 season and the game crashes on July 10th, which is the Entry Draft. I was able to sim past it when I resigned and didn't have a team controlled. Not sure if the draft actually happened either.

Also it seems like the game plays a second season with the start date at Jan 20th after the lockout shortened season.

Also there were no real free agents and teams didn't sign many guys.

At this point I just view negotiating with RFAs as broken. You just have to meet their demands or let them walk it seems. It's not worth the risk to try to save a little money, or the aggravation of watching them sign someplace else for a fraction of the money you offered.


my $.02 is that I'm okay with the idea that a RFA could get angry and not deal and okay that they can go play somewhere else. What probably needs to be fixed is that it should be harder to get them that angry that they break off talks completely. It should take several counter offers to get to that point, especially since we are asking them for a response and they seem to be okay with the offer. I think it should actually take a lot for a guy to absolutely stop negotiated when millions of dollars are on the table. Second thing that needs to be addressed is if they are angry and don't want to negotiate, there should be some sort of check to see if the contract offered by a foreign league is at least 70% of the value of the contract offered or something like that. I can see a player sticking it to his team on principle if you really tried to screw him over but he's not going to play for 100k when he could be making 3.25 for the next 4 years.

Is it a new game, or an old save? And how do you have the game set up, which game mode, league, and team are you playing with, have you done any editing, etc.?

During the playoffs (historical mode) you still can´t use the 'report' button/function DURING playoff games, game alway crashes, just to let u know

Team: Färjestad Bk
League: Swedish Hockey League
Date: 25 june 2015

I autoplayed for a week and when i return I hade a message about renewing the contract but nothing happend when i click the answer button (I don´t get the usual reject/accept options). I can´t renew my contact so when i moved on i got unemployed. This have happend many times when i get contract offers from other teams during the season but then i didnt see it as a problem because i didn´t want another job.
Are there any way to go back in time at the save so i can reload a day before the contract offer and maybe get the chanse to accept it?

I have reported the penalty shootout problem several times since last fall, and I am really disappointed that it hasn't been fixed yet. The visitor team always gets am extra chance. It seems there there is a programming bug that lets them have an extra shot in the shootout. I just installed the new version and anxiously awaited my first shootout to see if this was fixed - but not yet. This is a critical operational bug that affects the integrity of results, and should have been a simple fix.

Hello..I updated your new patch and continued playing my San Antonio AHL team. After the june 30th it crashes instantly. It is an old save game.

And I have 2 seasons now behind and third is supposed to start.
does it crash because that new patch roster update?!?
It did let me play my second season to end though. But right after june 30th it crashes.

Contract renewal for human GM's should be happening automatically now, without the need for negotiation. Did it actually make you unemployed at the start of the season, or have you advanced that far yet?

No, only if you'd saved under another name previously and have that save to go back

It's not quite as simple as just awarding the visiting team extra shots - it only happens in some circumstances, and at times manifests by preventing the home team from taking a final shot in a situation where they should have had one (usually if the shootout goes beyond 3 shots). I agree, though, it affects results, so it needs to get fixed. I'll ask the guys, again, to try to get it working properly in this patch.
