Edit Rosters

Theirs people out their who play this Game might want make their own Rosters and can't intill July 1st 2914 and the ones I'm talking about are like Sochi ones,past years or so on.

We're finding that allowing certain things to be edited "on the fly" during the season via commissioner mode changing a player's team, altering contract data, making large changes to ratings or other vital player data, etc.) are causing a large percentage of the crashes reported to us. For that reason, in the next patch we're going to be switching to a system that only permits that sort of editing in a narrow annual window, likely on the first day (July 1) of a new season, so the game can properly respond to major data changes in a controlled way. At the moment, this is only partly implemented, and the current editing tools may cause issues with some of the new systems, since those were developed in anticipation of the new editing system. So for the time being, please be aware that using commissioner mode to make changes while the season is in progress carries a substantial risk of creating long-term issues, including unrecoverable crashes, in your savegame. So we strongly recommend that you save your game under a new name (Game Menu - Save Game As...) before undertaking any editing. That way, if something goes wrong, you can always return to the original unedited save.

Editing rosters is one of the main reasons I play the game. Training and player's ratings have little or no meaning in my leagues. I want my leagues to look nothing like the real leagues. Playing and wanting leagues to mirror real leagues in real life is boring.

Completely unacceptable. Customization is at the heart of the appeal of text sims.

I second the last 2 post and wish they could put out a saved game as of the date the next Patch comes out meaning Standings and Stats would as of that date because if you try and do Sochi Rosters on 7-1-14 some Players might have Retired at end of season or some how got a Career Ending Injure.

OTTP has problems with Editing Rosters and so on but you can still do that stuff all year round but game will Crash.

They need to bring back League Structure and the Page where your could change Playoff Rules and so on.

I understand you guys want full edit capabilities, and I feel confident the devs want you to have that editing ability. But as they've explained certain editing was causing instability so in my opinion it makes sense to restrict them until those issues are dealt with. Not sure when that will be though.

To be honest if I'd designed the game I'd have held back on most of the editing until version 2 or 3. Opens up too many variables to handle.
