Homerun issue
I have guys in my league hitting 80, 70, 60, 50 home runs regularly , at one season I had 18 players with 50+home runs how I make then more like 40's an 50 as the high end number?

Do you have dynamic league evolution turned on? If so, your league may evolve to feature a lot more offense.
Or, your modifiers may be skewed. You can adjust them or try importing modifiers from a real life MLB season that you like in terms of statistical distribution. |

IN league setup you should have modifiers for everything, BABIP, HR, 2Bs etc. What I usually do (if you are running historical) is look at the league leaders, and the tab all the way to the right will state historical accuracy...I then drop or lower the stats that are too high or two low in league setup

That was a joke, Padreman.
Anyway, dynamic league evolution is in your league settings. It should be on one the screens there. However, it could be one of those settings that you can't modify until the off-season. Consult the OOTP 14 manual and search for dynamic league evolution to find more information. If you see a check box next to the option to allow the league to generate more offense, then you can uncheck that and hopefully fix the problem. |

Show us a screenshot of your PCM and league modifiers, it is on the strategy page of league options I believe.

Everything there looks right, so I have no idea what could be causing it. You might want to uncheck "automatically import historical player creation modifiers" since you are in the future, but I don't think that would cause any problems.
The only other thing I can think of is checking the HR leaders' editor page to see if their power rating is anything crazy (over 200), and check if they all were created in the same year or two that may have gotten wonky modifiers. |

Have you created a ton of small ballparks or anything like that?
Do the pitchers all seem slightly cruddy? |

Does that screenshot show your PCMs and modifiers before you made any changes to the historical year?
Did you check your league evolution settings as well? |

Not sure if this will help..
I read in the following in the manual under Strategy & More and referencing League Setup>Strategy>League Totals in your game.
OOTP generates a league total for each category, noted in the left column. The league total acts as the basis for the calculation engine. In historical leagues, these are the real league totals from the imported year. In fictional leagues it's the major league totals from the most recently completed season. The league totals do NOT directly equate to how many of these events you will see in your league! They are simply a basis for calculation, which ensures the ratios of these events remain accurate compared to real life. Adjusting league totals is a little counterintuitive. The results in your league are inversely related to the league totals. In other words, if you increase the triples total from 1,000 to 2,000, it would actually result in FEWER triples in your league! We do not recommend adjusting your league totals directly unless you're just messing around, or you are experienced in working with our league totals! |
