I'm not disputing your second and third statements - you should know since you've 'thanked' me for my posts bringing up the same issues. I'm just saying that you're wrong about what a QO has to be.

League minimum this season is 550k. If you earn less than 660k it's that contract + 10 percent. If it's between 660-1m then it's 5%. And finally, if it's over 1m then there's nothing added.

Ryan O'Reilly, for example, will be qualified at 6.5 million and not 550k.

I think he's saying is that you want to extend a qualifying offer with the lowest amount possible. It's standard issue contract management.

Players flip out and refuse to negotiate further if you simply seek to qualify them.

And, yes. Players are asking for the moon.

I'm just waiting on the day to add teams to the NCAA pool and expand the NHL in real-time

I can't use my Mac licence on my PC?

How much does the game cost now? Was it discounted?

You can use your license on two computers at the same time and mix Windows and Mac as you want.

1 little UI issue.

It seems that certain frames aren't allowing to scroll down when text is longer than the window.

Example: Check out Ryan Smyth on the Oilers and click on Career Stats tab. You can't see his career totals because he has too much season data showing and there is no scroll bar available.

Same issue in the League News frame of the League Home Screen.

You are right with long news on the League Home Screen but on Ryan Smyth's career stats page you can use your scroll-wheel to go down the table (still, there should be a scroll bar as well).

Other minor issue. Started a historical 2004 game, and Ryan Getzlaf was in the draft pool instead of with the Ducks.

Ah, using the laptop so hardly ever use the scroll on the mouse pad. Works. Thanks!

Another one... this is a bit more problematic. Starting a new modern game, you can't trade 2014 draft picks. The option is just not there. You can trade 2015 picks+. Note that I changed the league in the editor to 8 rounds. That might have done something.

Does negotiation mood not improve? It's been 4 months since my initial offer and it hasn't changed, thus there is no negotiation possible.

It is supposed to, but it doesn't look like it. Palat, Killorn, Connolly and Johnson have missed about half the second season now in my season with Tampa Bay. They wanted completely ridiculous numbers. I expect all of them to resign around 2-2.5 in real life but all of them wanted something in the range 6-8 after ONE decent season...

I noticed when I slimed in April the Game exited for no reason but my Team the Blues who was leading the League and resigned Miller And Ott but the second tine slimed and turned on save daily no exit happened by computer but even having the 30 pick the Blues still didn't resign a Miller and Ott but did make lots of Trades and signed like Jagr,Todd B,Gabroik in the Offseason.

Just some follow up on the contracts of my young Sabres. Thinking about it the problem is mostly that my players, who have little NHL experience at that point, are being treated like Landeskog or Nugent-Hopkins. They should be treated like Nazem Kadri. One good season of a highly rated young player translated to a 2.5m/2y bridge contract. Now that was just before the new season that he signed.

I don't expect contracts to be perfect, to be honest I think that's something you'll always be tuning year after year. I'm just trying to make sure you guys have the appropriate information when it's time for more adjustments.

I think a 'Qualify' option on the player's right click menu would be a good idea. If would pass the one year qualifier to the player who will either accept it or not and the action would have little to no effect on further negotiations.

The negotiating process should get some adjustments eventually. I find it inflexible right now. The player asks for an amount and you can haggle it down a little but I have seen any signs of bridge contracts as options. And generally I find I get about 5 chances to hit the response button and after that the negotiation is over. Doesn't leave much room for negotiation.

My negotiations with Girgensons were especially tough. He wanted 6.4m/4y. I started by trying 4.5m/4y and he was straight into neutral. Then tried 6m/4y and then he quit negotiations. Two chances and then it was over. I imagine Girgensons might have low patience but that's still tough to work with.

Like I said ongoing adjustments.

To be honest, it'd be kinda cool if some players went for bridge contracts and some for longer. Maybe make it so a player with really high potential who maybe hasn't actualized all that much yet goes for a bridge deal whilst a player who has achieved more wants less money (relatively) but more term.

Either way: can we expect a quick fix soon-ish of the RFA-problem (and I assume other minor issues you'd want to throw in)? It really is a gamebreaker, I played through one season immediately after release and haven't touched it since.

Two suggestions for editing in next patch:

A) Option to start games on July 1st so we can edit stuff at the start of a game
B) Some kind of "Retire" button in the editor to remove players from being signed. In my games the Wild always sign a 42 year old German defender named Leask for some reason. I can edit his ratings down, but I'd rather just retire the dude.
