commissioner mode question

i know you can play all the games in this mode,but can you make trades to?

Yes, you can do pretty much anything in Commish Mode.

I stay in Commish mode in my league since it is a fictional historical replay. I Force trades often. I will take a player who has played say 12 years with Team A and trade him foir 3 1 star players because i no longer have the info on who he originally got traded to and trade him to team B. Because it is a lopsided trade i am forced to Force the trade.

I know you are asking about trades, you can also just move players to other teams with the player editor.

You can take control of a team and trade against the AI trade logic. You can set up a trade and force it to happen. You can bypass trading all together and just move players at will.

And you can also just control a team like a regular GM and not mess with the rest of the league.

I find that this point gets lost sometimes when talking about Commish mode. It's just a way to give the player more control over the league, it's not totally separate from being a GM. I personally am always in Commish mode myself, so that I can reverse a trade that doesn't make sense, edit away a stupid nickname, etc. Mostly minor stuff.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that. I am only in commish mode for my online league. In solo I am less vigilant and move a little quicker with the mouse. I have accidentally cloned and deleted a few players in solo.

When in commissioners mode OOTP will allow you to go over budget. So, if you want to keep the playing field level with the AI I suggest turning it off only when making trades or negotiating with players. Me personally, this is the only time I turn it off.
