Using baseball card templates
Can anyone guide me through using a different card template. I have the template I like, but I don't know what to do next. Been using OOTP for a decade and sometimes still feel like a noob.
Thanks |

1. You can make a backup of ootp default folder and just copy over the template to your baseball_cards folder replacing the original files. 2. Create a new folder, name it what you want and place it in the bb_cards folder, but you've got to manually select it when you create a card for someone. ootp won't auto use it. 3. My favorite way....Keeps all cards in their own folder in ootp's bb_cards folder, if your cards don't have any of the default cards like the awards, all star, etc. copy those those templates and images to those folders as well, then open up Preferences, select the Trouble shooting tab, click Open folder containing app config file. When the folder opens, open app.cfg in any text editor, very near the bottom you'll see the entry for baseball cards, It will look like this: bb_cards_template_set ootp14 Change ootp14 to the name of your card folder and save app.cfg. Restart ootp and now it'll always use your card folder automatically for bb cards. If you want to use another card template do the same and ootp will auto use that folder. 1. All xml files need to be in a folder called templates all images need to be in an images folder..same as ootp has it setup. Last edited by Bigrod; 03-13-2014 at 02:04 PM. |
