How to change Jersey Script on a template

How do I change the Jerseys Script on a template, the template I'm using shows "Chicago" but I want to change, is there away to?
I'm using GIMP.

Any help would be great.

does Gimp use Layers?

i just deleted what was in there, and now i have a blank Layer where i type in (or paste) the required name

Yes GIMP uses layers

so, either delete that layer, and insert a new one or delete the text and write in yours... i have deleted all together from my template, to save size, because most time is was adding a new layer, and keeping the Chicago one hidden (sigh).

it also makes me more conscious where i want to place the wording in the whole layering (somethings i have buttons through it, sometimes under.. different shading, and texture)...
