Changing Financials

I am not sure if this is the best category for this post, but as I can't figure it...

What I intended to do was to play several seasons using historic transactions and no financials before changing settings, no historic transactions and using financials.

When I made the switch a few problems resulted:
1] AI will not make trades. (Trading is enabled).
2] Can not get option years to work. I created contracts for players, number of options don't show up on their 'contract/status page, nor can I see the setting under league rules.
3] Pending offers do not show when viewing Free Agent screen.

Any ideas on how I can keep the history generated (1901-64) and make this transition.

You cannot make trades with the AI if you're using historical transactions. By using this feature, this means that no transactions are allowed other than those in the historical transactions file.

Also, if you turn finances off, then contracts, free agency, and probably option years are not going to work. The game assumes that you don't want any of this, so attempting to create them is not going to work.

When you turn finances off, this means you are turning off the entire financial component of baseball, including contracts.

However, it's also possible that you may have tried to blend or mix things by changing settings after starting them differently, and maybe this is causing some kind of conflict. But my guess is that you're trying to do things that you've told the game to turn off, and that's the real source of your trouble.
