Ratings Bars

Is it possible to edit the skin so that the players current/potential ratings are displayed separately like in OOTP 12?

I really doubt this is possible. The GUI follows its skin designs which, although they may look the same from one version to the next, are tweaked for each new version.

That said, you could try finding the corresponding ratings bar images in OOTP12 and copying them to the images folder for the skin that you are using in OOTP14. Make sure that they are named exactly the same. Delete skin.bin and restart OOTP14 and hope for the best.

I think you'll get errors, though. In that case, you'll need to download your skin from Add-Ons Central and reload it.

That's about as far as I could get last night, those bars are only for the BNN player page though…

I guess maybe the easier thing to do would be to get the 2013 rosters on the OOTP 12 version? Could that happen?

Well, I swung and missed on the first question, but that's only strike one!

So here's swing #2: Can't you take the database files from the OOTP 13 stats folder and copy them over the ones in the OOTP 12 stats folder? Then perhaps you could upload the actual 2013 rosters using the historical game mode. I'm talking about this folder:

\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\stats

Let me know if I'm 0 and 2.

How would I get the rosters through historical mode?

Actually, you can do this in any type of OOTPB game, I believe, not just historical mode. You would edit the league structure, as the manual describes here. Click the Import Hist. Team button and I am hoping that 2013 teams would be available if you copied over the database from the OOTP 13 game to the OOTP 12 folder. And that's assuming I am reading you correctly that you have OOTP 13 and want to revert to OOTP 12.

Something tells me I am 0-2.

I'm trying this out now, hopefully it works, but I might have a difference in game dates. Is there a way to change the start year from 2011 to 2013?

As an aside, does youy happen to know Deja, if there is a skin that is deadball era? I use classic, but I'd like something with very little color, it's just easier to look at...

It seems there is hardly anything out there for skins

In a historical game, you can set the starting year. You just cannot change it once you start the game.

Never heard of any, but you might want to search the Mods forum.
