3 HBP in a Row

This is a first for me. I did not elect to use hit batter either. It happened right after an injury. He comes into the game and promptly plunks three batters in four pitches. He then fans the next batter on three pitches.

I found it amusing that the fourth batter was swinging on the first pitch. You'd think he'd be ducking for cover.

What is your pitchers control rating? Also, do you have the warm pitcher up setting on or off? Would be interesting if there was a dynamic in play, or if this is just completely random.

at least it saved your pitch count LOL didn't have to waste 12 pitches at least

I don't use the warm-up rule. I don't like how it is implemeted. Some guys get warmed up faster than others. Sometimes mangers walk extra-slow to the mound. I think, what? 8 pitches as a fast and firm count is unrealistic. Especially after an injury. OOTP (I think) does not allow for a pitcher to warm-up until he is ready after an injury like MLB does. Anyhoo no warmup rule, I simulate that in my mind.

I think it was completely random.

Here's a good one for you:

The very first time I decided to play out a game (I sim or watch as my manager controls the action), my pitcher hit each of the first four batters. And no, I wasn't choosing the HBP. After those four, my pitcher settled down and I haven't seen anything crazy like that since.
