Unable to update pictures

I'm using the MLB All-In-One Mod and trying to use FacGen pictures for all players. Some players using this mod still have real pictures I guess that I have in my photos folder. Usually there is an option when I go into the player's profile to update their picture with different options, facial type, beard, etc. That option isn't there for any of my players but it's there for all coaches. Does anyone know what settings I need to change to have this option appear for my players again?

League Options, Player & Picture Options, on the right side is the Fictional Picture Options

Here is where you setup those options...

Right, but my settings are fictional pictures for all players, create pictures on demand and update always if needed.

The issue I'm having is say they create a FaceGen picture for a player and I think he should have a goatee, I don't have the "picture" option on the player's profile page in order to change his beard settings or anything else. How do I get that option back on the player's profile page?

Just to try to show what I'm talking about, in the below screenshot I have a picture option for my coach to change his picture settings, but there's no picture settings on the player's page.

I am having the same problem.

The picture option does return when in Commissioner mode, however I thought it was always there in the past. I just noticed this about a week ago.

Here's your sure way fix...
You need to go to your saved game's news\html\images\person_pictures and profile pictures folders and delete everything. Restart ootp and all your pics will be regenerated correctly as long as they are named correctly.
Also, check preferences and click the facegen tab and make sure the last option is set to Search for fotofit (facegen) first.
Do the above and you should be all set.

I am using the latest update. I will try your solution but I know this option was there in the past. I guess there's no way to get it back if it was taken out in the most recent version. Seems strange option to remove that option though, especially since it's still there for coaches.

Also using the latest update, 14.7.42

I noticed it right around the time of the update but I'm new to this version of OOTP so wasn't sure if I was supposed to see the Picture option as a manager or just in commissioner mode.

Since there seems to be no other way to view Baseball Cards (unless I am missing something), I am assuming that I should see the picture option no matter what mode I'm in.

Don't recall what the status was in previous versions this year, to be honest, but I can certainly verify that the option is not there unless you're in Commissioner mode. Does seem odd that it's not there by default, but if you really want to make a change, which I'd think would be seldom, the simple click it on, click it off, seems manageable.

Just patched to the latest 14.7.42 and this was the first thing I noticed - the "Picture" button on the Player Profile is gone. Glad to hear it returns when you go to Commish mode, but for me this is a big pain.

The reason is that I'm one of the ones experiencing the "invisible face" bug (which sad to say still isn't fixed in this update) where if you minimize OOTP and then bring it back to the front again, the first Facegen photo it generates after being "maximized" is invisible. Usually (unless it's a road jersey pic) I can just go to the player's profile, click on Picture -> Same Picture, and the resulting Facgen gets generated properly and all is well.

Now it looks like I'll have the extra step of having to enable commissioner mode to do this fix.

Not a huge deal I guess - just an inconvenience. I'll be extra careful not to minimize OOTP and only Alt-Tab I guess.

I'd love to know if Markus did this on purpose or if it was unintentional. While I can understand why it might have been moved to commish mode (since it effectively involves "editing" a player), I'd really prefer that it return to non-commish mode for OOTP 15. There's enough clicks you have to go through that I can't see anyone accidentally regenerating a new face for their player by mistake.

Having to be in Commish Mode to do this makes sense for online leagues, but not for solo leagues.

Maybe Markus could tie it to the league settings, ie: If online mode is enabled, then user must enter Commish Mode to update player pics If online isn't enabled, then there should be no need to go to Commish Mode.

Side note... but I really, REALLY wish they would stop putting photos in with the facegens. I have it set do never use photos but it doesn't matter. The photos always appear.

It is REALLY annoying when the photo is for a manager type photo (say Don Baylor or Alan Trammell) when I am looking at a player in 1981.

OOTP shouldn't have any photos to access unless you downloaded some, I don't think. Like maybe if you installed an All-in-One mod it might have put some photos in there that you don't want.

Just go to the \photos folder in your OOTP data subfolder and delete the files in there. You might also have to go into your saved game and selectively delete the offending photos in your news\html\images\person_pictures and profile_pictures folders. I think that should work, but not positive.
