Transparency
I'm trying to replace my trophy png in the images file, but ran into a bit of a stumbling block. Thought I knew enough about Paintshop Pro or ifranview, but I can't seem to recall how to make a background transparent. Here's the image I'm working with, but can't get the white to vanish in-game.
If someone can do it, great, but I'm more than willing to be educated and do it myself, if I can as well. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. It does have to be the original size, however, or one that matches the image in the skin file. I think I can just resize your contribution.
When I dabble, I use PaintShop Pro, or Adobe Photoshop Elements; Paint in a pinch. Be very grateful for the instructions, and I'm grateful for the image. I'll see what I can do. Here, should you decide to pursue the topic. Always willing to learn. Again, I very much appreciate it.

Okay, looked at it in game. Just like the original, the edges appear like they need smoothing. Not a complaint, like I said, it's the original as well. So of either of the programs I use, is there a remedy? And I'll also keep looking myself. Thanks again, all!

I'm using Paint.net. Don't know if I can help with the edge-smoothing.

Some of the roughness is part of the trophy, I think, and I get that. Maybe it is the little white at the bottom, I'm not sure. Just something compelling me to tweak a bit until I get it just right. I've been hanging around you guys too much. Ha!

You picked a real tough one to do since the the top is also white. The more contrast in color, the better they come out.
For one like this, I lower the tolerance on the eraser tool as much as I can and still remove the white, but not the top part of the image and then I might need to use the smudge tool to smooth a few areas. Anyway, this is how mine came out... |
