I can guarantee we will continue to offer the game through our site, Amazon, GamersGate, Green Man Gaming, Mac App Store etc. in addition to Steam. More outlets = more sales, so we wouldn't close ourselves off and go Steam-only.

Steam is awful for OOTP, it is WAY slower , on 3 different PC's, and it crashes every 3 or 4 times I open it or just freezes the PC requiring a hard reboot

Have you filed a support ticket for that? I have to admit I'm not sure if we would handle that or if Valve would, but I can check into it for you, if you want. Thanks.

Not necessary, I don't really care about Steam, I only use 2 pC's on a regular basis and I can remote desktop to them if needed. It might be nice to use if it used the cloud
