Something that's always bugged me

Ever since I was a little kid I have loved baseball stadiums. I love the fact that baseball unlike any other sport is played in parks of differing dimensions and no two are exactly alike. As baseball fans we learn right away about the parks and their different layouts. The Green Monster in Boston and wouldn't you hate to be a lefty starter pitching in that park? The right field porch at old Tiger Stadium and how it seemed to steal sure outs and turn them into home runs. The jet stream/vacuum that seems to suck balls into the stands in Arlington Texas. The massive amount of foul territory(foul balls, not foul as in leaking sewage) in Oakland. Etc Etc

As fans we also learn which parks are pitchers parks, hitters parks, home run parks, triples parks etc. What bugs me about OOTP is that we have nothing visible during game play that gives us a feel for the ball park the game is being played in. Sure we have the pretty stadium pictures, but unless you are playing with the actual teams and stadiums, that is nothing more than a picture. What happens when playing fictional?

One thing I've thought might help to bring out the uniqueness of each ball park would be to have a widget(optional display of course) that simply displayed the parks hitting characteristics such as hr = .989 Lf hr=.975 triples =1.100. It could also list the parks dimensions.

Anyways this is just something that's always picked at me. Thought I would share it and see if any of y'all have any ideas on how the game could bring to life the ballparks.

I'm with you, and really excited about OOTP15's promise of 3d stadiums. Dunno if it'll work or not but sounds cool.

A tab for stadium factors would be awesome too!

Park dimensions are there. One thing I would like to see OOTP incorporate is foul ground and distance between home plate and the backstop. In some old parks that is huge. C misses teh ball and it rolls all the way to the backstop a player can go from 1st to 3rd easily. Some parks a player might get thrown out at 2nd.
