How to Reinstall Default Jersey and Ballcap Templates?

Hey guys,

I am new to this game and installed some historical logos but my ballcaps for all teams are just coming up white. i read in another thread that the fix for this was to reinstall the default jersey and ballcap templates. Unfortunately, the process for this was not explained and I haven't been able to find a way to do so, short of totally reinstalling the game, which i am trying to avoid if possible. Can anyone help walk me through this process?

My 2c...

First, copy your ballcaps or logos or jerseys (whatever you plan to work on) folder and rename it so you can always backtrack if you have problems.

Your problem could be a number of things.

Second, check the images you placed in the logos or ballcaps or jerseys folders. The ballcaps and jerseys files must be 512x512 pixels. The logos must be 150x150 pixels. If they aren't, odd things (or nothing) results.

Third, check that you followed the file naming conventions in OOTP.

You mention you are new, so also having a look at the online manual for help with logos and graphics can help a lot.

Experiment a bit and you'll be a wiz in no time. Just make a copy first!!!

I highly doubt the default templates are your problem unless you deleted them.
However, to reinstall those templates, Find the default_data folder. Inside that you will find all of ootp's default files. They will be .tar files. I use winrar to extract them and am not sure what other programs will do the same.
Just extract the tmeplates you need to ootp's original folders.
The 2 files you need to extract are ballcap_files.tar and jersey_files.tar
Once done, restart ootp and it'll rebuild what it needs to

If the templates are your problem, the above will fix it. If it doesn't, then you will need to open your saved_game's ballcaps folder and the jerseys folder and delete everything in them and restart ootp again. It'll rebuild the files in those folders.

If all the above doesn't fix your problem, let us know with the following info.
Are you using the PC, Mac or Linux versions?
Did you install any Ballcaps or Jersey mods? What folder did you put them in?
This info will help greatly in determining your exact problem and giving the correct info as to how to fix it.
