Interesting...because this "Francis Cole" did say he's "alumni of SI" in his public profile

Edit: wait, this is that person. If you go to that development page, the owner listed there is indeed "Francis Cole", and https://plus.google.com/+FrancisCole#+FrancisCole/posts

Now this IS getting really interesting...

His blog is definitely interesting and gives a good look into what this could be.

Some good news I take from this is that this is a project that has already been in development for a while, so perhaps more likely that if and when an OOTP Devs release comes, it will be more refined than if the project was started from scratch.

The guy also seems pretty on point and to have a good basis and a lot of intelligent thoughts going into this.

The 2D in game thing seems pretty cool too and is a good start for sure.

Add in some more polish and hopefully more customization options and we could have a winner here.

Now just need to figure out what the heck BTS stands for.

Ok I'll admit at first I thought it wasn't anything but now its one of two things:1. A football game by OOTP (Finally!)

OMG so I did a little digging. If you go to the sim nation forum someone put above you can find FLC's wordpress site. If you go there you find his YouTube. It is called Francis Cole meaning the guy making that football sim was named Francis Cole! The same name as "the lead developer of BTS". I think OOTP found him and hired him to make a football game with them. OMG. Just search Football GM on YouTube and you'll find Francis Cole!

Yes, the SI relationship and was already on that blog make for some serious optimism. I already liked where the game was heading and to imagine the potential with adding OOTP's engine...wow.

In that thread it's mentioned that Jan. 31 might be when an announcement is made. So perhaps this Friday, before Super Bowl Sunday, we will get our news.

Funny how in that thread around October he mentions he will have to get in touch with Markus to ask about something regarding real team names, etc... then Markus himself checks in to the thread to wish him luck, then shortly after he is talking about how he can't talk about the project anymore and how he will have more news soon.

Also... hoping this has changed since he's come under the OOTP Devs banner, but in that thread he mentions that his first iteration of the game wouldn't be customizable in terms of league structure, etc.

That being said, that post was still made back when it appeared this was just his own solo project.. It seems bigger than that now

It seemed kind of far along in development for him to 'add OOTP's engine' to what he already had ... And who knows how well that sort of combination would work.

I'm just hoping perhaps some of the OOTP style UI can be added, as well as customization and other bells and whistles that make OOTP so immersive.

Hmm, it seems we have solved the mystery and Mr Cole and his BTS game have been picked up by OOTP...

Now I was following his blog a while back, but it stopped in October 13 or something so I gave up, maybe this is when his dealings with OOTP started so he stopped the blog?

Also, I don't care if he's English and making American Football! The game is popular here, and even our leagues are well run!

Well, yes Markus did hire Francis but it's not what you think its for. You see, Mr. Cole is such a terrific cook that Markus wanted everyone who purchases his products to have something extra special to go along with the new OOTP 15 coming out in April. Francis will cook you some awesome burgers, or tacos, sub sandwiches or some European pizza!

As for all of this YouTube and other stuff about writing an American football management game goes that's now in the past.
