Create new game, use different database folder

I cannot get the new game creation to use the modifed text files I put in a different folder. When creating a new game (wizard or advanced mode) I cannot find where to select my custom folder. Database source does not have option to change db path, I know its possible but I cannot seem to find a way to do it before game is created. I can find it after game is created but then my first yr does not have the structure, lg totals etc that I want

If you are using the Historical League Creation Wizard, on the first panel that pops up click on the Show Advanced Options button. You will then see, among other things, a button to Select Path to Database. Click on that.

Once you have already created a league and then want to change the path to the db, navigate to League Setup and click on the Historical tab. On or near the bottom left you will see Database Path. You can then edit - by keying, not simply selecting - the path to your db or stats.

I don't think I've tried the second one (editing the path), so I can't say for sure that it works. From what I've read on these boards I think it does, though.

Hope I didn't misunderstand your question. Good luck!

FWIW..
According to Andreas, you can only set custom paths when you create a game not after. So I don't think the second option will work. However, one can try it. You can check to see if it sticks by clicking the Game tab and selecting Database info and Tools. That page will show you your custom paths.

To get what I wanted to do do, I went to the stats folder, renamed the odb files, copied the teams.csv to another name then made my mods to the team csv in stats folder, now the structure in 1960 matches what really was in 62, 10 teams in NL and AL, next test is to get thru 1960 and see if lg contracts the 2 NL contract IN 61 and then 2 AL teams in my lgs 62 (IRL 60) if so then my (R)everse (B)aseball (I)nc. dynasty is ready, start in 1901 with 2012 settings, the 1902 is 2011, 1903 is 2010...and on and on
