Historical changes for 15 please

Seems every new version, current baseball on OOTP becomes better at the cost of historical simming.

Here are some things I hope will be looked into

MANAGERS/OWNERS

Allow coaches and Owners to be Inducted into the HOF

Fix the bug where I fire a manager mid season, his record is accurate but if I choose another member of the coaching staff to become interim manager, his record counts his time as BC/HC/PC. That sometimes leads to a career BC having a 600 win managerial record show up in the career records listing, even if he only has 25 career wins as manager and 575 wins as BC

Allow me to retire or unretire managers if I wish. Connie Mack,Connie Mack,Connie Mack

Even with owner leniency being 10, managers will get fired. Allow an option in managerial contracts where they cannot be fired. Connie Mack,Connie Mack,Connie Mack

Allow owners or coaches to hold 2 jobs, many owners/managers were also the GMs from 1871-1940

Allow the Commish to initiate Ownership changes due to sale or death of previous owner with standard storylines that one can edit. For example, say I want August Busch to buy the Cardinals from Fred Saigh, I would select the option of "Sell team" that would formulate the generic sell team storyline that we have now, then I can go into write/edit news and state Fred Saigh was indicted on tax evasion. Right now, I change owners and nothing is said.

UNIFORMS

Allow retirement of numbers
Fix the issue where a player who is on the DL will have his number reassigned to a callup, then the DL players uniform is changed when he comes back
I like the importing of uniform numbers, but it needs an option to be turned off. If my league is free for all rehash where I am not trying to Strat o matic the results, then 4 players could wind up with the number 3 on a team

UMPIRES

An easy checkmark right under the Allow Scouting Allow coaches options, Allow umpires.
They can be the same as coach profiles with the skills of Consistency,strike zone knowledge, ability to call plays correctly, and hook of players and managers

MINOR LEAGUES

You cannot associate minor leagues, so I really can't have the American Association and International League with two different rules yet play in the Little World Series or an All Star game. If anyone knows a workaround, that would be great.

PLAYER STRATEGY

If I want Hoyt Wilhelm to only be used a MR and do not run a team, allow me to do so. Also if I want to try and emulate Lou Gehrig's playing streak, allow me to choose FORCE START AT 1B -BACKUP STARTS NEVER

MINOR LEAGUE HOF

Even if a player got a cup of coffee in the Majors, and I induct him to the PCL HOF, he will show up in the MLB HOF. Same with a major leaguer that had a rehab assignment in the American Association...if he makes the MLB HOF, he shows up as an AA HOFer

SCOUTING

Please have stories when teams find a international FA. I am often caught by surprise when a team scouts one.

I am also not sure how Scouting works when not in charge of a team...if I do not choose a country for the team, it seems the AI doesn't look.

I cannot see individual scouts for a team...and I am thinking there is no difference between Scouting Director and Scout. It be nice to have 3 or 4 scouts per team under the Scouting screen. One to scout amateurs,one to scout minors, one to scout internationally, one to scout upcoming opponents. This way, if a scouts skill is 200 in International scouting and weak elsewhere, he still serves a purpose. Some 1940's Cuban players became international scouts

MISC.

If I change the league setup during the playoffs to be 3 man rotation, it will default back to 4 man staff, needs to be fixed

Reserve Clause still needs deviation in salary. If Ted Williams,Joe DiMaggio,Stan Musial,Bob Feller,Pee Wee Reese are my top 5 players, they all shouldn't be making $80,000.

Reserve Clause should still have extensions (for long term and/or guaranteed contracts) and FA signings, for history tracking purposes.

Independent minor league teams (even if parent league is MLB) should trade with Major league teams, I've tried every way to make it possible and it's only possible if you release the Parent league association and setup financials. Yet Independent teams hire a SD and GM

Because I sim, this is all I see with issues, the Play by play is fantastic as are the injury and development, especially the randomness factor

Love all your ideas. I only see one flaw. I regularly set the rotation to 3 man for playoffs. I have never in 20 seasons in my EBL vs MLB league revert back to a 4 man. I have been in the playoffs 8 times in 16 seasons. MLB dropped from a 5 man to a 4 man playoff rotation in 2018. I did not have to change anything.

As one who loves old time player/MGR's I would love to see that fixed. Every season i have to unfire the MGR because he is also the star CF, 3B, 1B, or C.
Connie Mack is also who I base myself on after 2026 and it would be easier to have the options you suggested.

But, if I stay the Commish, 2 AI teams are in the World Series I change to 3 man rotation in the league setup, it reverts right back after I sim game 1...which hinders the teams using that #4 SP as their main reliever.

I will double check but when I change the rotation settings they have never reverted back. Maybe uncheck the automatically evolve setting for stats. I was on 13 for most of my playoff appearances through 2011. 2012 was my 1st season on 14. I also never had an issue on 11 or 12. I did have to manually change it though. On 14 it seems to drop one from the playoff rotation automatically.
