Disable Player Development + Historical Stats Still Import?

Just got OOTP 14 (I know, late to the party), and I love the player development reports... except in my historical game.

If I disable the player development model (like it says here), will the game still historically import the players stats every year?

I'm not crazy about the player development system making changes during the season to my players in historical play, but I still want their stats updated at the beginning of each season with their historical averages and whatnot.

If you disable player development, and make sure you have recalc on each year the player's ratings will be updated to reflect their new stats. Check out the Player Ratings section in this link for the recalc options: Out of the Park Baseball Manual

I think that is what you are looking for, but if I misunderstood let me know.

My Online League runs like this. Except we use the Player Dev @ 100 (0 = no dev.; no surprises... 100 = Surprises but relatively historical mode... 200 = expect weird & cool things to happen, but not what you are looking for in historical replay).

Every 1st day of Free Agency, players ratings (insert expected performances) are recalculated according to the upcoming 3-years (average). Those are my settings. You can fix that to 1-year, 3-year & 5-years. It only affects the Pictching/Batting ratings - not the defensive aspect of the game. (note: we play with 1-year pitcher stamina and defensive stats, otherwise the players are too strong defensively IMO for replay. But, makes it harder over the years because you have to adjust most of the time year after year with terrible defensive year for some of them.)
