What's the "little red x"?...and abbreviations?

Sorry for my ignorance:

How do you open the "little red x" in a square?

Also what are the common abbreviations used on this forum?

IMO....I think this means "in my opinion".
IMHO.."in my humble opinion"?
BTW..."by the way"?

This computer- challenged individual would appreciate others to add to this list. It would help me understand some threads better.

Thanks.

The abbreviations are correct.

As for the red x's, does this have to do with your logos that I posted a few minutes ago? To answer your question, you can't open them. The red x's mean the picture is unavailable - you can't view them for one reason or another.

FWIW - IMO, IMHO and BTW are correct. Glad to see you've got it straight - otherwise we'd all be LOL or possibly even ROFL at your confusion.

Eckstein:

Thanks for your help in translating the abbreviations...but I'm afraid I only understood half of what you said.

No, Crabster...I don't think that comes in handy anytime.

I prefer language that is of good taste, class and good character.
