How do I use "add ons?"
Hey, guys, I've downloaded ballparks and caps from the "add ons," but can't figure out how to activate them in my game. Can anybody out there provide (or direct me to) some step-by-step instructions? I'm not real computer-savvy, so thanks in advance for treating me like a 6-year-old (or, in my case, a 60-year-old).
Much appreciated, -- Dennis |

For most add-ons, you have to start a new league for them to be automatically imported. The game does a once-over sweep of the installed files when it creates a new league, and if it doesn't find anything the first time, you have to manually load them into the league.

First, try closing out the game and restarting it. If the cap files are named correctly (I'm assuming they are if they're an add-on), it should automatically find them when you re-load the league. If not, you're going to have to go into each team's Colors & Uniforms screen (Team Menu -> Team Setup -> Manage Team Colors & Logos). You should see the buttons to "Find," "Load," or "Regenerate" the cap and/or the cap logo. You can try "Find," but if restarting the league didn't help, the chances of that working are slim. So if that doesn't work, use "Load" and locate the proper cap file on your computer. I won't bother going into the default file locations unless you need me to. Ballparks... I've never had to manually load in ballparks myself, but I assume that if they're installed, they'll simply appear in the list of parks. If that's the case, just go to each team's Team Setup page and choose the proper park from the dropdown menu. |

Oh, right, I should probably mention this, lest I incur a certain forum member's wrath:
In the future, questions such as these should be asked in the New to the Game? forum. I'll continue to help you in this thread if you need it; just an fyi for the future. |
