Three 100-win teams, same division.

Anybody ever seen that happen before? New York's 120 wins was a league record, and a OOTP record in any of my leagues for a team not managed by me.

My Doctors somehow managed to win the Super Series, though, in five games over the Ghostbusters. Probably didn't hurt that one of their stars, league batting champ and MVP runner-up Alfredo Serna, went down with a season-ending injury in early September.

Nah, if it had been the Mets, the second place team in the other division would have won 101 games, so they'd miss out on the second wild card.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

What is this in reference to? I'm missing something here.

Good point.

They are all joke names given to the main character in the MST3K version of "Space Mutiny".

Not quite three teams with 100 wins, but can you imagine a team playing .701 baseball and not winning its division? Yet that's exactly what happened in real life in the 1920 International League season. The final standings:

Code:
Baltimore 110 43 .719 -
Toronto 108 46 .701 2.5
Buffalo 96 57 .627 14.0
Akron 88 63 .583 21.0
Reading 65 85 .433 43.5
Jersey City 62 91 .405 48.0
Rochester 45 106 .298 63.5
Syracuse 33 116 .221 75.0
There's a further twist to the story. Entering the final month of the season, Baltimore and Toronto were with percentage points of each other. Toronto went 20-2 over its last 22 games—but Baltimore won its final 25 games in a row to secure the pennant.

Surely one of the most amazing pennant races in baseball history!
