so I collected enough business names to fill out the league, plus a few extra for league/division names. what I ended up doing was searching Wikipedia for 20th century companies. they had a page for companies started in the 20th century. so I started at 1900 and selected companies. I was surprised at some of the companies that have been around since before 1925.

spreadsheet is here

so I gathered and have placed all the business, leagues and division names for the minors. now I just have to look at it and see if I want any changes then input it into the game.

well and then I have to do nicknames and logos. I have the 5000+ logo pack thing plus the ones from here so finding something useable for shouldn't be difficult. just a bit tedious, but I think it will be worth it

I didn't really take much care with placement of the names, so I will take suggestions on changes.

one could even find themselves motivated to download the spreadsheet, move things around and repost it. though I wouldn't know why

I went to You Tube and saw that you are playing with ugly vanilla graphics. I can help you out with that.

Let's get a list of what teams you need logos/jerseys for. Post that list in the mods forum. I'll work on a few a day until you have at least a full ML set.

That will help with immersion and interest, I think.

Even if you decide against new logos and graphics I'll be watching even though you stuck a viewer in the minor leagues.

I made a change, HCoA is moved to Memphis in the majors, which means Publix moved to Tampa, Viacom moved to Buffalo and Fool Inc. moved to the open minor league spot vacated by the Healers

the only thing set in stone at this point is the Dr. Pepper franchise, cause that one is going to be mine. it's why I am still mostly working off the spreadsheet for the naming of the teams, so I only have to do it once. spreadsheet is updated.

So I am trying to come up with award sponsors, so far I have

All-State Good Hands Award
First Alert Rookie Award
Louisville Slugger Award

but I can't think of a pitcher award sponsor that seems as natural

I am going to go with something else, but I liked the John Deere idea enough to give them a team.

those are good ones. I like the DHL for the cy young type award & I'll use the rolaids for the custom award in the majors.

Still wondering why you have Marlboro in Chicago vs Sears or McDonald's. Hamburger U is in Oak Brook and The 1st McDonald's franchise is in Des Plaines.
List of companies in the Chicago metropolitan area - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

easy, I don't have logos for them and only teams with customized/ish logos made the majors
