2019 Federal League Championship Series
Dallas Rattlers (95-67) vs. Louisville Colonels (109-53) GAME 3 @ Dallas: Jorge Gonzalez (12-5) vs. Eric Hennessey (19-10) Key Moment: There had only been one hit in the game through six scoreless innings. Arroyo made it two hits with a single to start the top of the seventh. Martinez walked. Harris struck out, but Edwards loaded the bases with an infield single. Seaman popped up to the second baseman and it was up to Vargas, batting eighth against the lefty who was still in there. The count was 1-1 when Hennessey uncorked a wild one back to the screen and Arroyo scampered home with the only run of the game. Jorge Gonzalez was amazing once again. He loaded the bases with three walks in the first, but struck out two men to escape with no score. He didn’t allow another base runner until Bill Long singled with one out in the seventh to break up the no-hitter. He had thrown 122 pitches through eight innings, so Flores finished the shutout. Final score: Louisville 1, Dallas 0 Louisville leads the series 3-0. WP: Gonzalez, LP: Hennessey, SV: Flores HR: none Star of the Game: Jorge Gonzalez 8 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 4 BB, 7 K, 122p/70s Patriot LCS: Atlanta 7, Orlando 4 (Atlanta leads the series 2-1) |

Dallas Rattlers (95-67) vs. Louisville Colonels (109-53) GAME 4 @ Dallas: Alec Potvin (12-6) vs. Luis Ortiz (14-5) Key Moment: The turning point was when Luis Ortiz took the mound to start the game. He is the toughest lefty in the game, and we could not touch him today. Final score: Dallas 4, Louisville 0 Louisville leads the series 3-1. WP: Ortiz, LP: Potvin HR: DAL – Riveria Star of the Game: Luis Ortiz 9 IP, 0 ER, 5 H, 1 BB, 9 K, 130p/87s Patriot LCS: Orlando 8, Atlanta 1 (series is tied at 2) P.S. Welcome back, Tomas! |

2019 Federal League Championship Series
Dallas Rattlers (95-67) vs. Louisville Colonels (109-53) GAME 5 @ Dallas: Fletcher Holmes vs. Bill Bond (5-3) Key Moment: Holmes had the Rattlers baffled all day while the Colonels kept pecking away at the scoreboard. Trailing 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Dallas put the first two men on base. Cleanup hitter Javier Riveria was at the plate. It’s a 3-2 pitch… swing and a miss! Bill Long flied to center. Jason Harmon popped up to second. Just like that, the biggest Dallas threat had come and gone. Final score: Louisville 6, Dallas 2 Louisville wins the series 4-1 and advances to the World Series. WP: Holmes, LP: Bond HR: none Star of the Game: Phil Gillespie 3-3, RBI, SB, 2 RS ![]() Patriot LCS: Game 5: Orlando 5, Atlanta 3 (Orlando leads series 3-2) Game 6: Atlanta 4, Orlando 3 (series is tied at 3) Game 7: Atlanta 8, Orlando 7 (Atlanta wins series 4-3) The extended Patriot League series will allow us to reset our pitching rotation for the World Series. |

Down with those ... Atlanteans!
How long has it been that Louisville has taken home rings? Must be almost ten years. Have the Atlanteans (note how I don't know their moniker and how I am too lazy to look for it) ever won a ring? This millenium?

2019 Continental Baseball Association World Series
Atlanta Flames (95-67) vs. Louisville Colonels (109-53) Atlanta’s first three starters are outstanding left-handers, including two 15-game winners in Sam Evans and Will Milledge. Game four starting pitcher Robinson Luna (24-5, 3.12) is one of the best in the Patriot League. Sergio Arroyo will play third base against the lefties in the series to get his hot bat into the lineup.

. 100% worth it though, the original Orcin's Story was what really hooked me into the OOTP franchise a few years back.

I would imagine, like me, the AB by AB of the extra innings was fun, exciting. I think it's why I'm still in love with the game. In a 7 game you usually find, short of a sweep or 4-1 win, the team that wins the first 'could go either way' game, wins. Here's hoping!
