More about the same-updates, trading
There are a number of threads that keep steering towards trading and updates, so not quite sure where to respond, I'll just post my say here.
When receiving email notices about the 6th update of ootp14 or the 4th update of FHM there is no doubt in my mind that iootp13 is the "thing that lives in the locked room downstairs" and is fed by little scraps of promises. Despite it's problems I'd vote to forget about any updates, concentrate on some meaningful changes in the trading and leaderboards and other issues mentioned by players. Don't put a lot of effort into something as meaningless as those silly achievements. I like the sliding scale idea for trading that's being mentioned. Footnote: Despite my frustrations with the trading I just pulled off two very satisfying trades. It took many, many hours of research but I was able to knock off 8 million in salary and get two young min. salary players with very good contact and power right at the trading deadline. I think the time spent in researching and plodding through the bad deals in iootp13 detours the flow and fun of the game. The 3 mediocre players for 1 superstar trades worked out in a minute just don't happen anymore. Still play just about every day though.

Good overview of the trade changes. The biggest changes I see in trading are that teams now value their starting pitchers and top prospects a lot more. That's probably a good thing. Just as in real life, it's hard to trade for a quality starter.
