Throughout history the view of baseball has evolved. However this does not happen in OOTP. For example in 2036, my best reliever still is upset because i did not anoint him "Closer"... i am sure my best hitter is upset that he does not get as many RBI opportunities by hitting 2nd, etc...

it would be nice of someone we could change the main views as time go by... let say in 2040, there is no such things as starter anymore, everyone pitches 3 innings and out. I know i can do it manually, but then my players get upset in the new roles, since they are stuck with 2013 mind-frame...

this could even be part of evolution....

Not a bad idea, and it could be worked right into the League Evolution function we have now, but I wonder how many and what kinds of options would be included for it; everyone has their own theories when it comes to baseball, and many would be totally against the dissolution of Starters or whatever.
