only 24 players eligible for playoff roster
in my online league, I had an injury to my ss right after roster expansion. Now I only have 24 players eligible for playoff roster. I should be able to call a replacement as long as he was a member of my organization prior to expansion. He was. Why can I not add a replacement player? Is it bc we simmed to the start of playoffs before I had a chance to make my roster move? If so can admin of league override, and force him onto my playoff roster?

Roster moves cannot be made during the playoffs.
Is it possible you only had 24 players on your August 31 roster? |

I may not have a full understanding of this, so I might be wrong. If you never had an injury or replaced anyone on your 25 man roster prior to SEP 1st then their is no one with ML exp that season to replace the injured player for the playoff roster. I could be reading your post wrong but I have had the issue I described twice.

Your wording makes it kinda unclear what you want to do. Do you want to add the player that was hurt to your playoff roster OR replace the player who was hurt with a different player?
You CANNOT make roster changes once a playoff series has begun. You can make changes between series, however. So if you cannot replace the player it is most likely because you forgot to set your playoff roster. If I remember correctly you should be able to set your playoff roster all the way up until the day the playoffs start provided the players are eligible for the roster and no games have been played If you can't replace the injured player it is for one of two reasons 1) The Playoffs have already started (Played a game) 2) You don't have any players on your active roster who are playoff eligible If you didn't bother to add players during roster expansion, I suggest putting a player on your active roster and seeing if he can be used to replace him. If the playoffs have already started, you have missed your window of opportunity to replace the player for the playoffs at least for the current series) Maybe someone more knowledgeable about the player editor could tell you if you can force a replacement through that means. I'm not that familiar with the editor and I don't currently have any leagues at the Playoffs to figure it out

Pain I dont want to stray too far from the OP but I have a question about this. In 2015 & 2016 I added about 5-7 players in September. In 2015 my ace went down with an injury SEP 20th but I did not have any players that were eligible for the playoff roster come Oct 4th. In 2016 I lost my LF Sep 10th put for season and did not have any players eligible for playoff roster despite picking up a player off of waivers August 29th but he did not appear ina game for me until after SEP 1st. It's rare when I have 25 players going into the playoffs, I seem to almost always have just 24.

I've never personally had this occur, provided OOTP handles roster replacement properly (Which I can't say one way or the other if it does) You should be able to replace an injured player for the playoffs (But not when any series is active...ie is playing games)
If OOTP doesn't handle replacements correctly, then it is very possible that you would only have 24 playoff eligible guys. I seem to remember someone in one of my online leagues having this issue but and I think he figured out how to get a guy in as a replacement by moving him on off and back onto the active roster or something of that nature. But this whole topic answer is dependent on whether or not OOTP handles replacement for injured players correctly for the playoffs. And I don't know the answer to that. I do know that you should be able to go into the editor and remove a players injury, which would allow him to be placed on the active/playoff roster, But I have no idea if you can dictate a players playoff eligibility by that means.

I want to replace my injured ss. But I only have 24 players eligible for playoffs, since he was injured after roster expansion. So basically on the roster overview screen, I have 24/25 players on my active playoff roster, and 24/24 players on my eligible for playoff section

And according to in game rule, I can use a player from my active roster as a replacement, who would otherwise be ineligible, if a player is injured after roster expansion. As long as he was a member of my organization prior to expansion.

I can make other roster movements, but since I only have 24 players avail, and they are all already on the playof roster, there's really no moves to make lol. I can remove one of those 24 guys from my playoff roster if I want. So it seems it's not a timing issue (missing my window)

Did you place another player on your active roster to see if you could add him to your playoff roster?

i just had this situation.. i was able to do it, however there was a catch. when i tried to pick a player and move to either Playoff roster or Playoff eligible roster, it would not do anything in the Playoff setting screen. however, if a right click, add the player to 40-man (i needed a catcher and had none), and then again Right click, add player to PLayoff eligible he suddenly was in list, and i was able to move him to the roster. |

Meh, guess it doesn't matter. I tried your work around. Still doesn't work. I took some random minor league player, right clicked him, add to secondary, then right clicked him again. Not even an option to put on active roster. However I can drag and drop him into active roster. Still cannot add him to playoff roster though. Error message
