Draftees from feeder league. No trade restrictions
(reposting from feeder thread in beginner forum)
I finally had my feeder leagues (added 10 years into universe) running long enough to provide draftees. First off-season following the draft, the players drafted are eligible to be traded, even though i still have the no first year restriction selected. Is this normal, or did i mess up my settings? |

bumping, just because i'd like to know if it's a bug or if i set it up wrong. AI now just asked me for a drafted player in a trade, 2 days after he was signed from JUCO.

I'm curious about this and have often wondered what the hard coded date/time frame is for "allow trading of recently drafted players" actually is.
For example, if my draft is June 1st, and I have the box checked to not allow trading of recently drafted players, when does the "recently" part expire? Is it when the season ends, off-season, pre-season? It would be nice to know. Especially if you set your draft for after the season has ended. I always thought that once the season ended, the "recently" part had expired and you could then trade these type players. I don't know for sure though. |

it got interesting when i decided i wanted more HS draftees, so i added a 2nd HS feeder. of course i forgot this would change the setting to 80 rounds (sigh!)- this truly needs to get changed.... so AI had to create non-feeder draftees.
the results was, someone drafted from Feeder could be traded immediately, someone created by AI could not. (did not test when the feature changed). |

it did change to 80 both time i added Feeders. Actually the stickied guide in the New to the Game side says this is normal. i just forgot about it. it just created deep drafts (i did cull the 2nd time to remove most of it)
