Historical player import?

Hello, all,

I'm trying to decide whether I want to purchase iOOTP. Here's one piece of info that would help me decide. If I were to buy all the historical seasons, could I import a player from, say, 1964 into a 1995 team, or a team from any other year? Could I import a historical player into a 2013 team?

Sadly, no. Unless you can find a way to edit the "player.dat" file, which no one in the OOTP/iOOTP community has ever been able to do.

In OOTP, the computer, "full" version of iOOTP, you can do this among many other things that aren't available in iOOTP. And you don't have to pay extra for historical seasons!

Thanks for your reply. My other option was to buy OOTP for my laptop. It looks like that will be my choice!

I'd like to see how your leagues with players from different eras turn out. I just got OOTP (granted, its version 8, as my computer is very old and not compatible with anything higher) and I've set up leagues pitting teams from different eras against each other

Is it still too early to import 2013 seasons? I tried importing Kershaw's 2013 season and he had HORRIBLE ratings. Almost as if to tell me that it is not possible to import historical players seasons from 2013...
