Looks good. May I suggest using a white stroke to make "Jungo" more readable.

Justafan, can you give me some advice on how to "master" bent text. I am never really happy with the results. I have attached the "best" of my efforts to bend text using your circle logo template. FWIW, I use Photoshop CS3.

Is it just a time-consuming affair where I need to continuously tweak to decimal point percentages, or am I just not aware of a shortcut or easy feature that will help me make bent text look smooth and evenly distributed around a circle?

I'll say it again...I know very little about Photoshop.

When I exported that template from Xara to a PSD file, the text did not convert. So for the first time ever, I had to create curved text in Photoshop. So, I don't know if I even did it the best way.

I just used the warp text tool and set it to Arc and used the slider to adjust the bend percentage until it looked good to me.

If there are any Photoshop users that know a better way, please jump in.

Anyway, your logo looks pretty good to me. Maybe a bit more tweeking is needed and something I always do is use all caps for any text I'm going to bend, it just looks cleaner to me.

That's exactly how I do it as well. I feel like there has to be a trick to making it curve around a specified selection, but I don't know it. I just have to spend time tweaking it to get it to look right.

That's also how I do it most of the time... You can also make a shape using the Ellipse Tool and then click on the Text tool then in the lower left select the text on a shape icon and click on the edge of the shape you created and it will put the text onto the shape... I am using Photoshop Elements 11 with Elements XXL enhancements...

I don't see a "text on a shape icon" anywhere, but I can create an ellipse then when in text mode I click on the edge of the shape and the entered text rides on the edge. I have yet to find a way to center the text though.

I just figured it out. while in text mode hold Ctrl key down and drag the text around.

YES, this is going to make circular logos SO MUCH EASIER.

It could still use a little tweeking, but once you get it right, you should not have to mess with it.

I use GIMP rather than photoshop (free) and I'm afraid I am such a novice, that I need step by step instructions on how to take one of these templates, and turn them into a logo of my choosing. Any help in this area is greatly appreciated. I think if I can learn this, it will make justafan's life a bit easier!!

I know less about Gimp than I do Photoshop, so I'm no help, but start with one of the simple templates (maybe Home Plate or Diamond), not the Glossy, that one is a pain to get working right.

I would Google tutorials for Gimp.

Also check YouTube for tutorials. There are many to help beginners and experts alike. Learn the basics and then apply that info to making logos.

Added the Circle Strip logo template.

You'll need to play around with font size, free transform, and text warp to get the text right.

BTW, I used the Tucson Bold Font by Conrad for this.
