This is correct, but I can do those things without Steam as well.

I know!! She'll be able to watch all her favorite teams using the real time sim feature. She will probably make you popcorn, too.

The "Big Picture" option on Steam is just awesome for this.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

First make her happy, and them go run play OOTP on the big screen while she sleeps and cleans up.

No, you can't. You get licenses for two computers from OOTP. Steam will let you have OOTP on as many computers as you have. And when you go visiting your relatives for a week, you can play it on THEIR computer.

Sign in to your Steam account and your game is available. That's something you can't get anywhere else.

Plus, if OOTP gets a Steam Workshop, OMG. We'll all be in Heaven.

Or just tell her..."look, I am playing OOTP for a few hours now, and that's that".

Yes I can.

I can install OOTP on as many computers as I like, 2, 10, 20, 100, 1000. I can only license it on 2 of them at any one given time.

When I'm visiting relatives, I'm not playing OOTP, but if I was planning to, I'd bring my laptop with me.

My point is I can bring OOTP with me where ever I go without using Steam.

Yes, you are correct, you can do those things with Steam.

Yes, as I pointed out in this post, I am correct - I can do those things without Steam.

It's not the same and you know it.

Stop arguing Wolf - I agreed with what you said and also pointed out that I can do those things without Steam.

Playing OOTP on any computer:

With Steam - yes

Without Steam - yes

Big Screen

With Steam - yes

Without Steam - yes

Stop arguing yourself. Comparing constant manual
unlicensing/relicensing to the convenience Steams offers isn't comparing apples to oranges, it's comparing mud to apples.

Yes, I actually can mow my lawn using my truck, but that's not the same thing as a riding mower.

I don't know where the hate is coming from, but get over it.

I'm going to have to agree with Bluenoser on this one, Wolf. It's certainly EASIER to play OOTP on multiple computers with Steam, but it's not NECESSARY to be able to do so.

However, a Steam Workshop for OOTP would be absolutely badass.

And it's so much easier to mow my lawn with my riding mower that saying "Well, you could do it with your truck and an attachment on your trailer hitch" is also true, and also irrelevant.

A Workshop could totally change the way we play the game.

Lol, I don't have to unlicense -relicense - I have a desktop and a laptop. I am able to use my OOTP license twice. I license the game on each and never have to do it again.

No hate coming from here, just pointing out that Steam works and not using Steam works to do the two things you mentioned.

It's never a bad thing to have more than one option to accomplish something.

To be fair, Bluenoser, it did sound like you were referring to licensing/unlicensing the game to play on a bunch of different computers. Just a misunderstanding I think.

But an OOTP Steam Workshop would be incredibly useful and just plain awesome

Yes, but what if you have four computers and three laptops?
