Ron Moran showed some serious heat in his first major league start, but he also had a problematic inning where he gave up 5 runs. The Jays batters did their part and it wasn't until he top of the 10th when Dennis DeBarr gave up a solo shot to Carlton Fisk that the Red Sox nailed down their 6-5 win. WP - Don Aase (1-1) LP - Dennis DeBarr (0-1) Record - 12-16 |

Neil Allen had to come in and shut the door. WP - Roger Erickson (4-1) Save - Neil Allen (3) LP - Dennis Eckersley (4-2) Record - 14-21 |
