Old players in HS league.

Hello there, so im playing in this fictional high school league which is a feeder to the major league.
I have one question, when my players are too old, lets say 21. Do they automatically get removed from the team?
How does the feeder system work anyway?

You can add them to an ongoing league. It has to be done during the pre-season, and of course you have to be in Commish Mode.

Also have a read of this thread/guide written by Biggio509. It was written for OOTP12 but is still applicable to the game.

So much for my idea for 2018, although I kind of knew this already but I was going to try it anyway.
When I did my feeder league 2013-14 I had some players that went undrafted and stayed on the team after they had turned 18. I had 3? 19 yr olds on my 2014 team. Also I had my star player who was supposed to be the #1 pick in the draft not even show up in the Ammy Draft Pool. I had to manually assign him to a ML team. Because of the issues and considering how boring it was to b e a HS MGR I decided not to be a HS mgr for my 2018-19 seasons for my Dynasty thread.

Hmmm... I wonder if it's possible to kind of get what you want where you run a commish-mode manual draft and placement (that means NO draft in game).

HS League - 15-18 (Commish enters who he wants into a draft pool, rest get entered into a college recruiting pool)
College - 18-21 or 19-22 (Commish enters who he wants into a draft, rest are done)
Pro - 18-? (No real draft, but commish manually drafts and assigns players)

Granted, this would be VERY time-consuming, but it could work if a person truly wants players to possibly become college players or declare pro.

Anyone ever tried something like that?

Actually what the manual states is slightly wrong. (Older version manual, however mostly still applicable)

An improvement was made in that HS players who don't get drafted out of HS can go on to College. I'm not sure if they all do or only some, have never looked closely myself.

The should end before your Ammy draft, so playoffs should be over by June 5-15th. 30-42 game season. i think default is 35 not sure.

FWIW, I think real-world college baseball starts in late Feb or early March. I could be wrong on that though.

Good stuff - lots of helpful people on these forums, never hesitate to ask for help or just general questions about baseball.

Enjoy the game and tell/show your friends.

Correct. Usually it's Out of Conference in Feb. Conference games start in March. Season ends in May and Playoffs start in June.
