You are not kidding! I don't count those fights any more, I'm not giving my rising prospects a cheap loss when they're building their records - they have enough tough fights ahead when they reach the title shot level because they're always facing top guys in their primes.

And I've used the protect cut strat & still had fights stopped by cuts.

It still happens, just not as drastically. The stoppage seem to come in bursts and are much more likely with the strategies on when they're going for the KO so much and creating more damage.

If by that you mean having a lot of fights stopped by cuts in a row, you said it! I'm like - not again! It's like the old days of the board game where if you didn't shuffle enough between fights, you'd get the same result in the next one.

I've had a good run lately with few cut fights, now that we've discussed it here I probably jinxed myself.

I rarely get one cut stoppages ... the cut stoppages I get have usually been reopened two to three times ...

But still these happen much too often. Where once cut, it will be reopened and then stopped.

A simple patch that allowed the computer AI to switch any fighter with an open cut to a "protect cut strategy" for the next 2 rounds (outside the 12th / final round) would be a nice temporary fix...

I see way too many fight stoppages by cuts. Absurdly so I think. I run all my fights in watch mode at a 20/30 sec read. I have every fighter use the best possible cut-man. Rated as high as possible.

I had the stats once over about 1000 fights but fights you watch are stopped much more than fights you auto-sim ... it was a disturbingly large difference ... my in house rule is if the fighter who is winning the fight (in one I am watching) is cut he gets to protect it the final three rounds

I have mentioned it before, but from looking at the way the commentary is pulled based on severity of the cut I think adjustments can be made 1 or 2 ways.

1 - Reduce the amount the cut worsens each time it reopens and also set fights to never be stopped on cuts below the eye, a cut mouth or bloody nose.

2- Reduce the odds of a doctor/referee stopping the fight when the cut gets to it's most severe (and of course only on cuts above the eye, or across the forehead as indicated above)

Again, knowing how this drives the commentary I am pretty sure it would be an easy fix in the fight engine. Is this something you could look at Paul?

I wouldn't say never on cuts below the eye, nose and mouth .... just really rare like 0.25% or lower ... but great suggestions lee

Yes, Paul. Throw the community a bone here! A quick small patch would be great! and go a long way toward everyone jumping out to purchase once next full version comes out! Hell, I'd pay $5 for the patch itself!
