Phightin' Phillies
So after trying my luck, or rather skill, with historical teams, I have quickly realized that it's not my cup of tea. I hope you guys will enjoy this Phillies' dynasty where I will start in April 2013 and get this team back to where they belong - at the top of the NL East.
Series #1
April 1 - Phillies 5, Braves 0: Cliff Lee had atypical control problems walking three Braves, but he threw 7-2/3 innings of two-hit ball before turning it over to Justin De Fratus. Lee also had a good day at the plate, going 2-for-3.
April 3 - Phillies 0, Braves 1: It was a pitcher's duel between Roy Halladay and Tim Hudson, as fans had to wait until the seventh inning before pinch runner Jose Constanza scored the game's first and only run. Craig Kimbrel pitched a perfect ninth inning to complete the shutout and return the favour.
April 4 - Phillies 3, Braves 1: Paul Maholm held the Phillies scoreless until the eighth inning, but the Phillies' hitters came through in the clutch for the comeback victory.
Next up: The Phillies return home to host the Kansas City Royals.
