Retired mgrs/coaches getting jobs

I have nothing but great respect for Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa, Joe Torre and Lou Piniella. But all four of these guys are retired and I got tired of seeing them get hired for managerial jobs over other guys in OOTP. So I deleted them and their profiles from OOTP along with any other coach or GM that was retired.

I also went through the list of coaches using the editor in Commissioner Mode and re-assigned some roles. For instance, Pete Mackanin and Joe Pettini are listed as GMs. When were these guys ever GMs? I went through the entire list of managers, coaches and GMs and deleted the ones that are retired and made all of the guys who had some managerial experience at the MLB level "managers" instead of "bench coaches" or "GMs". Then, I did the same thing with bench coaches, hitting coaches, pitching coaches, GMs, scouting directors and team trainers. This will give opportunities for guys like Mackanin, Pettini, Jerry Manuel, Willie Randolph, Dave Trembley, etc. and other guys who lost out on jobs before to retired, future Hall of Fame managers like Joe Torre and Lou Piniella.

Does anyone else do this?

why change the label on bench coach? i just hired as a manager... did this for my AA team without changing his label... now he want a 10 times salary increase at contract expiry.... i'll let him walk, he'll probably be listed as BC and be cheaper again

I just think it adds some realism to the game.
