Tactics

I'm having a bit of trouble with the tactics. I don't seem to be able to come up with something that works. I'm using Calgary and on my 2nd season I'm 12-25-6 with a pretty decent team (includes H. Lundqvist, Halak in goal - Lucic, Toews, Landeskog, Baerteschi, Shaw, Downie - forwards - Karlsson, Gudbranson, McNabb, Yandle, Girardi defence). So I shouldn't be this bad.

This game needs a coach option and the ability to save tactics.

Any helpful pointers people would like to share?

Mind you I prefer not to set the Asst to Tactics, do it myself, but I seem to be struggling.

There is actually a debate as to whether or not tactics are functioning at all.

I saw that after I posted this thread. The only thing I've noticed change and it could have been coincidence was that when I turned the aggression up on my third and fourth lines, I did get a small increase in FM's.

Either way my team should not be sitting 13pts out of a playoff position after 44 games. That's two out of three seasons I've been dead-last with a team that should be quite decent.

That, in a nutshell, is why I am not playing the game until some massive changes are made. The combination of unrealistic results and the (seeming) lack of impact from tactical changes indicate to me that the game still needs work. I feel your pain as far as the results go. With this season's Bruins I am (was) 5-15-4 and Tuukka Rask has a glittering 4.95 GAA and .845 save pct. To quote my favorite part of the Monday Night Football pre game show.."C'mon Man"

When I first got the game I used the Bruins (wanted a top team so that I could learn the game easier) and they were actually really good as was Tuukka. So I had the opposite result with them.

However the team I've turned the Flames into is probably better than the B's and it sucks, haha.

My results were what made me think, "OK, I've got the hang of this now, let's try a horrible team instead (Flames)", well despite my best efforts they're still horrible, haha.
