Gladiator (1992)
A story of two teenagers trapped in the world of illegal underground boxing. One is fighting to save his fathers life and using the money pay off gambling debts accumulated by his father. The second is fighting for the money to get out of the ghettos. While being exploited by a boxing promoter the two teens become friends. An explosive ending puts the two friends in the ring against each other in a fight for survival.

On an otherwise slow day, a fight promoter rolls into town. Troop, his hands full refereeing, sees the fighter beat all comers. Afterwards, when they won't leave town as ordered, Dan finds himself the next contestant in the ring.

A champion prizefighter stops in Laramie, offering $50 to any man who can last two minutes in the ring with him. Nine men try. Nine men fail. The champ, celebrating his victories at a nearby saloon, then becomes loud and abusive. Marshal Troop orders him out of town and the champ agrees to go, but only if the Marshal agrees to fight him.

Lawman: Season 3, Episode 12
The Catcher (4 Dec. 1960)
Frank Fenway is tired of his partner Lank Bailey hitting on his young wife. A hand called Catcher lets people hit him in the stomach to win free drinks makes a bet with Lank. Lank hits him several times before Catcher is set to "catch" the punches. Being a big man he squeezes the breath out of Lank before Troop intervenes and arrests Catcher. Lank doesn't press charges and Frank asks Troop to free Catcher as he can't handle being inside. Troop releases Catcher who along with Lank gets drunk. Frank confronts Lank at the hotel about his wife and hits Lank who breaks his neck in the fall killing him. Lank's friends find him and accuse Catcher. Frank tells Catcher to leave town but joins the posse who wants to kill Catcher. When Catcher asks to be shot, Frank confesses. As a result Catcher whose real name is Molly decides to becomes a teetotaler.

The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp: Season 3, Episode 19
The Manly Art (21 Jan. 1958)
A boxing promoter brings "Champ" Starbuck to Dodge City to fight all callers. Stay in the ring with him for one round to win $100 ($10 to enter) or win $1000 if you beat him. While listening to the promoter talk, Masterson and Earp tell a small but interested young man to stay out of the ring or risk being disfigured. Unknown to everyone local businessman Moresby has promised the promoter $500 if the "Champ" fights Earp and severely injures or kills him. The day of the promotion several men fight the "Champ" but Earp declines at Bat's urging even after being goaded by everyone. Moresby convinces the promoter to stay one more day even though the financial reward has been poor. The next day the young man has the $10 and wins a round. Fearing a loss the promoter gives the "Champ" brass knuckles causing him to break the young man's ribs. The man tells Earp the "Champ" cheated. Earp takes over and in the end he and Bat learn the name of the young challenger.
