Will vote for as well.

To be honest, if it had been about a permanent switch to Steam as a sole option, I'd have voted against. I've had my share of problems with that platform. But if it means these games become known to a broader audience with multiple buying options, then there's no way I can be against.

Have voted :-)

Went for YES for OOTPB but Ask Me Again Later for FHM.

Certainly agree that it will get the games noticed by more potential customers which can only be good for OOTP and the future development of their games.

When FHM has more of the features in the current version working and some of the remaining issues ironed out I would fully support the game being on Steam then.

Sadly, there are going to be many of these people. In fact, have a look at OOTP 2007's negative user scores on Metacritic to get an idea of what goes through people's heads: Out of the Park Baseball 2007 | Metacritic

99% of these negative scores --> coming from mainstream gamers who can't accept that this type of game (seen by them as a "spreadsheet simulator") could possibly be good enough to end up among the likes of Half-Life, Half-Life, and more Half-Life on Metacritic's All-Time High Scores list.

Yeah. Clearly that must be the issue. Otherwise there's no way a game as incredible as OOTP wouldn't make it onto Steam on it's own merits.

Most of the stuff that does get greenlighted is just absolute garbage, games I wouldn't play even if someone paid me to play them. That one of the best games made in any genre wouldn't make it is absolutely ridiculous.

As for FHM, while it does have its issues, even in spite of them it's still better than 95% of the games on Steam. In a year or two it'll be better than the other 5% too.

Would Out of the Park ever consider using dual product keys? Euro Truck Simulator 2's single product key activates both the download from their main page and also a steam version, for folks who'd like one. Just curious..

I voted!

I got another 4 votes for both games (girlfriend, brother and friends). If everyone does this, the chances will be much bigger, tell your friends about this

I believe that having the games on Steam as well will help to get more users -> more money -> more development -> better games. Consider spending few minutes by spamming a few friends

Sweet, glad you guys agreed with me about getting this on greenlight

Would we have to re-purchase though?

The reason I am supporting you guys on Steam isn't because the game is "great". It is still very buggy, however, you guys are the only company that has a simulation hockey game that I am aware of and I can sense there has been endless hours spent developing the game and I hope that the added revenue Steam may provide you can be used in fine tuning a "very good" game become "great" and one day "exceptional"

No, definitely not. Steam gives us as many keys for existing customers as we want, if we get in we'd just give one to any current owner who asks for it.

Did nothing for FHM as it didn't allow me to vote "ask me later" and i haven't decided yes or no yet ! so no vote at all for FHM !

I won't yes until the major bugs are fixed and custom leagues are made available. Once this happens then I will think about voting yes to get this game on steam.

I can understand and respect your point of view, but voting yes is not a declaration that the game is "good" at this point. It's an attempt to expose the game to a larger potential audience. More exposure = more potential customers. More customers = better sales and income flow for the devs, and a better chance for quality development and higher-quality versions of the game in the future.

So, even though I'm not happy with the game in its current state, I vote "Yes."

I have seen a lot of games on steam's greenlight but most of them shouldn't even be listed because most of them are stupid and not very well made. The one thing that does impress me about franchise hockey manager is unlike eastside hockey manager it's very well made game. I do think that it will take a lot of voting to get this game and OOTP baseball game on steam. I have seen a lot of games that I voted for that are still not on steam and they have have been on greenlight for several months listed. I know a lot of people who do not like steam but It's ok. They do offer a lot of games that you cannot find anymore or any where so eventually I will vote yes but just not right now. I think that the reason why so many people are against this game right now is because the game still crashes on them so a lot of them will either vote yes or no for it on steam's greenlight.

fyi - the two greenlight icons on the forum show "unknown item" and cannot be found when I click on it.

Seriously? I did not know this. That makes the yes vote an absolute must.

Can't imagine it is after only 4-5 days.

Didn't Markus say he hoped they'd know before Christmas?
